The Village Reserve

Creating a unique brand identity and contemporary accommodation website.

About

The Village Reserve is Auckland’s newest city-fringe accommodation offer situated directly opposite Grey Lynn Park. Architecturally designed and repurposed specifically to present guests with a flexible selection of premium short or long term residency options.

Approach

A kind of hotel, but not a hotel, the large split level house had a total of 9 bedrooms with two separate, private floors. Auckland property owner and developer Steve, engaged me directly to work on strategy, brand identity and to collaborate and project manage the design and build of a website.

Result

The Village Reserve brand was conceived against themes of locality, urban communality and leafy city-fringe streets. It speaks to families, professional groups and corporate and leisure travellers. I created a brand identity and story that played to the properties strengths, borrowing boutique hotel themes and adapting them to fit The Village Reserve’s more mainstream finish.
